We are looking for a proactive, creative, and organised Marketing Assistant to join our dynamic team.

 

Job Overview: As a Marketing Assistant at Holt JCB, it is essential that you have marketing qualifications which will support your vital role in various marketing initiatives across all areas of the business, including new and used machinery, attachments, service and parts. Promoting our Territory Sales Managers and our Customer JCB investments forms an essential part of this marketing role.

The ideal candidate will utilise their marketing experience to assist in the creation and execution of marketing campaigns, conduct market research, write Blogs, manage our social media strategy and contribute to our brand development initiatives. You will work across multiple channels, manage content distribution, handle customer communications, and help maintain a strong brand presence both online and offline.

This position is an excellent opportunity for someone to develop their Marketing credentials who is looking to gain further hands-on experience in the marketing field.

 Key Responsibilities:

  1. Campaign Creation: Create and develop campaign visuals, brochures, and marketing materials using design software. Ensure all materials align with brand guidelines. Experience of using design software is essential due to the multiple campaigns required at any one time.
  2. Brand Communication: JCB is the leading Manufacturer of Plant Equipment which celebrates its 80th Anniversary this year. Therefore, it is essential that Holt JCB's brand identity is consistently communicated across all platforms, adhering to JCB brand guidelines.
  3. Website Management: Regularly update the Holt JCB website with accurate and engaging content related to new JCB machinery, used machinery, service and     parts. Collaborate with the team to keep the website fresh and aligned with business objectives. Work with Marketing agencies to develop website strategies for optimisation and current website initiatives.
  4. JCB Machinery Range: Marketing New JCB Machinery is an essential role of our Marketing Department. The Marketing Assistant will work with the Marketing Manager to ensure all JCB stock is marketed, and Territory Sales Managers are supported in delivering their individual targets. Therefore, the Marketing Assistant will be aware of JCB stock level, machines coming into stock, new product releases and Territory Sales Managers targets. This knowledge forms an essential part of Marketing strategies.
  5. JCB Genuine Parts: Working closely with our Part departments you will utilise your marketing skills to create reactive marketing campaigns which optimise all opportunities to sell JCB Genuine Parts. Review and analyse results for lead generation and ROI reporting.
  6. Machinery Marketing: Marketing our New and Used machinery through a variety of channels (website, social media, email marketing, paid advertising etc.).     Ensure content is up-to-date and aligned with current stock, promotions and distribute this to Territory Sales Managers.
  7. Social Media Management: Assist in managing and updating Holt JCB’s social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X. Ensure regular and engaging posts featuring offers, new machine deliveries, promotions, and relevant content to maintain an active and consistent brand presence across all platforms. Capture and post high-quality photos of new stock arrivals and machine deliveries to showcase the latest products and build customer engagement. Experience of Social media analytics is essential to creating a successful social media strategy.
  8. Customer Site Visits: Attend Customer site visits to interview Customers about their business and recent JCB investment. Using your creative writing skills, you will create material for our Holt JCB News Letter, Blogs and social media.
  9. Sales Lead Distribution: Manage the distribution of sales leads through our CRM system, Salesforce. Ensure leads are effectively communicated to the relevant sales teams for follow-up. Utilise this information to determine related Marketing Campaigns to maximise opportunities.
  10. CRM  Management: Using our Salesforce CRM system, you will ensure customer data is up to date. You will also use data extraction to optimise all Marketing initiatives.
  11. Customer Touch Points: Utilising your marketing knowledge you will work with the Marketing Manager and all Department Heads to ensure that Holt JCB optimise all customer touch points of customer communication. Ensuring this is in line with Brand guidelines and maximises all sales opportunities across all our business offerings.
  12. Email Marketing: Utilising your Digital Marketing skills, you will use our DotDigital email marketing platform to create, send, and analyse email campaigns. Track analytics and report insights to the sales and parts teams.
  13. Merchandise Ordering: Oversee the ordering and distribution of marketing merchandise to our 7 depots across the South West and South Wales ensuring the correct items are available for promotions and events.
  14. Analytics & Reporting: Analyse website and email marketing analytics to report back to sales, marketing, and parts teams. Use this data to refine and optimise future campaigns.
  15. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with the Marketing Manager and other departments to align marketing efforts with company goals. Maintain strong     communication with the team to ensure all marketing activities are effective.
  16. Travel Requirements: As a confident driver, you'll be required to travel to various depots and JCB HQ when needed to support marketing activities and events.

 

Key Attributes:

  1. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  2. Creative mindset with a passion for marketing and design.
  3. Experience with website management.
  4. Knowledge of CRM systems.
  5. Experience with email marketing platforms (Dot Digital experience a plus).
  6. Proficient in design software.
  7. Confident with Excel and Excel formulas.
  8. Ability to analyse marketing data and adapt strategies accordingly.
  9. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  10. Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  11. Confident driver with the ability to travel between depots and JCB HQ.
  12. Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.

 

Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience in a marketing role, ideally within the machinery, automotive, or industrial sectors
  2. A degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing is desired.
